North Carolina guard Will Graves had one last chance to save the Tar Heels. With only three seconds remaining on the clock and North Carolina down by two, Tar Heels coach Roy Williams drew up a play for his team’s hottest hand. Graves had connected with five 3-pointers already on seven attempts, but his fall-away 30- to 45-foot 3-point attempt fell short.
