Sporting News 100 RB Bernard drops Notre Dame for UNC

It was nothing personal, Giovanni Bernard said Thursday night. It's not like he had a problem with new Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly, it's just that he didn't get the same gut feeling with Kelly that he did while former coach Charlie Weis was coaching the Fighting Irish. Ever since the December coaching change, the Sporting News Top 100 running back had seriously considered dropping the Fighting Irish and moving on, and on Thursday he told Sporting News Today that he gave his word to another program--North Carolina.
