Harrison Barnes injures hip in win over Mason City
Posted Feb 16, 2010
Another routine blowout victory for the Ames High boys basketball team was halted by one moment of terror. Senior Harrison Barnes, who was named a McDonalds All-American Thursday night, sprinted down the court to stop a Mason City fast break, jumped up and was unintentionally undercut by A.J. Rier. Barnes fell straight to the court, hit it back-first, and then rolled over and stayed there in pain. Coach Vance Downs said Barnes bruised his hip.
