Roy Williams’ take on the Ed Davis controversy

Roy Williams first heard about the controversy surrounding star forward Ed Davis early Thursday morning when North Carolina sports information director Steve Kirshner paid a visit to his office to let him know what was going on. “It’s not real good when Steve somes in and says ‘I have to talk to you about this,’ ” Williams recalled a day later. In this case, the bad news didn’t turn out to be all that bad.
