North Carolina, going for its 2,000th win tonight, will say goodbye to Ginyard, Thompson
Posted Mar 2, 2010
North Carolina will be going for basketball history today, while Marcus Ginyard and Deon Thompson will be going out the door of the Smith Center. North Carolina will play Miami at 8 p.m. and needs one win to become the second major-college team to reach 2,000 victories. Kentucky hit the mark first on Dec. 21, but the Tar Heels' struggles have dragged their chase to the regular season's last week.
