Canes keep it close, but can't prevent Tar Heels' 2,000th win
Posted Mar 3, 2010
Miami faced some long odds trying to snap out of its ACC road funk Tuesday. For starters, it was Senior Night here as UNC honored Marcus Ginyard, Deon Thompson and four walk-ons. Throw in a Dean Dome crowd trying to shake the home team out of a season of despair, and the Canes didn't realistically stand a chance.
