Harrison Barnes chasing ‘The Mayor’

has already left a lasting mark in the state’s basketball scene, but he still hasn’t replaced Fred Hoiberg at the top of the school’s scoring records. The North Carolina recruit is 31 points shy of Hoiberg’s career total (1,759) and 69 points short of “The Mayor’s” single-season record (715). Barnes, who said he attended Hoiberg’s basketball camps as a kid, averaged 26.9 points per game throughout the season. (Ames Tribune)
