Harrison Barnes named Morgan Wootten Player of the Year


Growing up, watched tapes of and even got to meet his childhood idol when he took his visit to North Carolina, where he eventually signed. Wednesday, Barnes will do Jordan one better by winning an award that wasn't around when Jordan was playing. Barnes, a 6-9 forward from Ames, Iowa, High and Chiney Ogwumike of Cy-Fair High (Cypress, Texas) were named Wednesday as the 2010 Morgan Wootten Players of the Year Award. (USA Today)
