Tribe Meet UNC In NIT

The Green and Gold [of William & Mary] will travel to UNC for the first round of the 73rd annual NIT on Tuesday, March 16, at 9:30 p.m. in Carmichael Arena. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN. The Tribe and Tar Heels have a pair of interesting connections. Coach Tony Shaver played under legendary coach Dean Smith and graduated from UNC in 1976. Second-year assistant coach Jonathan Holmes also played for the Tar Heels from 2000-03.
