In state prep football star Eric Ebron picks Heels

Eric Ebron went with his gut and committed to North Carolina on Thursday afternoon. Ebron, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end from Greensboro (N.C.) Smith, called UNC assistant coach Allen Mogridge, his primary recruiter, and made the verbal commitment. Ebron, who is ranked one of the state's top five junior prospects by Scout.com, has received nearly 20 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Clemson, Duke, East Carolina, Maryland, Miami, NC State, Rutgers, Virginia, and West Virginia.
