Drew drives a stake through MSU’s heart

With the game tied and the ball inbounded to him, UNC point guard Larry Drew II knew exactly where to go. “To the basket,” the sophomore point guard with a laugh. Drew took the ball the length of the floor with 8.2 seconds and made a game-winning layup over Mississippi State center Jarvis Varnado to give the Tar Heels a 76-74 victory. “We do work on those things (in practice) with four seconds so eight is plenty of time,” Roy Williams said.
