Tar Heels crank up spring football practices

A veteran football team should provide the opportunity to accelerate spring workouts and that’s what North Carolina coach Butch Davis said could happen with this team. The Tar Heels are a week into their formal spring practice session, leading to the April 10 spring game. “We’re practicing a lot better, a lot faster,” rising senior safety Deunta Williams said. “It just looks a lot better out there.”
