Deon Thompson will set mark in final game
Posted Apr 1, 2010
One thing is for certain in Thursday's NIT title game: Deon Thompson will start the final game of his career. And the forward will set a new record for NCAA games played with 152. “He has come a long, long way, from a 6-foot-4 inch, 304-pound offensive lineman as a freshman in high school, to where his is now -- playing more games than anybody in the history of college basketball,’’ said Roy Williams, whose team will face Dayton at Madison Square Garden.
