Dayton races past North Carolina in NIT final


It was a painful wait for a painful end of the season for North Carolina. After Dayton used its quickness to race to a 79-68 win in the championship game of the NIT, UNC had to endure an eight-minute ceremony after the game on the floor of the Madison Square Garden. According to , it wasn't much fun to sit and watch the Flyers celebrate and receive their parting gifts for winning one of the oldest basketball tournaments in the country. (Winston-Salem Journal)
