In a series that saw 41 runs through the first two games, the finale was almost a low-scoring affair. But UNC poured on the runs late for a 9-6 series-clinching win over N.C. State at Boshamer Stadium Sunday. The Tar Heels broke open the game in the seventh inning, scoring six runs with two outs on four hits, a lead-off triple from freshman designated hitter Tommy Coyle, a double from junior first baseman Jesse Wierzbicki, a walk, a hit batsmen and two errors.
