Duke, State, UNC wrap up spring football

Missing at UNC were guard Alan Pelc and tackle Carl Gaskins, who are recovering from surgery. Gaskins missed all of last season after injuring a knee in summer practice and was among five offensive linemen who missed at least one game. T.J. Leifheit, a freshman tackle who enrolled for the second semester, needed surgery for an ankle injury, a slight ligament tear. Sam Ellis, a walk-on who was forced to play last season, hurt a shoulder in spring practice and was limited.
