Wear twins' departure surprises Roy Williams
Posted May 6, 2010
The decisions by David and Travis Wear to leave the UNC basketball program after only one season caught Coach Roy Williams by surprise. Williams confirmed yesterday that the twins are transferring in a statement released by UNC. However, he did not reveal if they were immediately released from the national letters-of-intent they signed as high-school seniors. The twins' father, Dave, told the Winston-Salem Journal that his sons would not return to Chapel Hill.
