UNC still hunting for more big men
Posted May 15, 2010
When David and Travis Wear announced they were transferring from North Carolina last week, the Tar Heels' once well-stocked frontcourt suddenly became rather thin. The departure of the 6-10 twins, along with the graduation of 6-9 Deon Thompson and 6-10 Ed Davis' decision to leave school early for the NBA, means UNC has just two legitimate post players -- 7-1 Tyler Zeller and 6-10 John Henson. But Coach Roy Williams has been reaching out to some big men over the past week, and help could soon be on the way.
