Justin Knox loses Alabama transfer appeal

's appeal of the restrictions Alabama put on his transfer release was denied Monday by a university committee, according to a text message from Darien Knox, his uncle. The university committee's decision means the 6-foot-9, 245-pound post player can transfer after he finishes his undergraduate degree this summer. He just can't transfer to another SEC school, a school on Alabama's 2010-11 schedule or to another school in the University of Alabama System. Knox has been on an official visit to North Carolina the last two days, and he plans to take an official visit to Georgia Tech on Tuesday and Wednesday. (Birmingham News)
