Matt Harvey could go to Mets as 7th pick in MLB draft

After weeks and months of speculation, the first round of baseball’s First-Year Player Draft begins in a few hours. And while the draft is as wide-open as any in recent years, the Mets seem to have narrowed their field of candidates to three players with the seventh pick: Arkansas third baseman Zack Cox, North Carolina right-hander Matt Harvey, and Justin O’'Conner, a catcher from Cowan High School in Muncie, Ind.
