P.J. Clyburn prepares for college football season


Quan Rucker and were practically inseparable in high school. That is, until Rucker graduated in 2009, one year ahead of Clyburn, and went to Wake Forest. The arrival of summer brought the two former West Iredell High standout football players back together before they head their separate ways again. Rucker is a rising sophomore for the Demon Deacons. Clyburn, who just completed his senior year at West Iredell, is bound for Chapel Hill, where he will play for the North Carolina Tar Heels. (Statesville Record & Landmark)
