Two Carolina Golfers Advance At North & South Amateur


UNC golfers Jack Fields and Robert Riesen advanced to the second round of match play at the 110th North and South Amateur being played at Pinehurst #2. Fields, a rising junior from nearby Southern Pines, defeated former Tar Heel teammate Barden Berry, from Kinston, in 19 holes. Berry, who played on the 2005-2008 golf teams, led most of match, but Fields tied the match on the 15th hole with a birdie. (Tar Heel Blue)
