Minnesota assistant Everett Withers leaves for North Carolina

The University of Minnesota football team announced the resignation of defensive coordinator Everett Withers today. Withers, hired to Minnesota last season from the Tennessee Titans, is expected to take the same position at North Carolina, replacing Chuck Pagano, who left the Tar Heels after one season to become a Baltimore Ravens assistant.
