NIT run gave light to Carolina's dim season
Posted Jul 9, 2010
A 16-16 mark in the regular season. A 5-11 mark in the ACC. An opening round loss in the ACC Tournament. No trip to the big dance. But four wins and an appearance in the NIT finals. UNC fans might not agree with Deon Thompson's view on what the NIT run did for the 2009-10 Tar Heels, but Mike Maniscalco asked the former Heel if that run did anything to help take the edge of a really harsh season.
