OLB/RB Christian Russell commits to UNC

This time it's for real. Hoke County's Christian Russell, the dynamic running back-linebacker who starred last season at Westover High School, made an oral commitment to play for UNC on Thursday evening. Russell had previously made a pledge to the Tar Heels back in October 2009, but backed off that commitment at the advice of then-Westover head coach Milton Butts. Butts wanted Russell to explore all his options before reaching a final decision. (Fayetteville Observer)
