After months of recruiting, Mallard Creek quarterback Marquise Williams gave his verbal commitment Saturday to play football at UNC. Williams, a senior at Mallard Creek this fall, chose among North Carolina, Michigan, Virginia Tech and LSU. Williams said he chose North Carolina because the program was the right fit. "Getting a degree from North Carolina, that's one of the best things for me. And being at North Carolina, it's close to home."
