Football players rule the golf course
Posted Jul 26, 2010
The second day of the ACC Football Kickoff here in Greensboro began with the annual Skeeter Francis golf outing at the Grandover east course. UNC quarterback T.J. Yates won the closest to the pin contest on the 140-yard par 3 7th. His ball was resting no more than four feet from the pin. I later saw him and asked him if he made the putt for birdie and he replied, "Our team made it."
