Charlotte Observer releases Carolinas Top 50 list
Posted Aug 13, 2010
This is a banner year for college football recruiting in the Carolinas. Many national recruiting services rank Rock Hill South Pointe defensive end Jadeveon Clowney as the nation’s top college prospect. The Sporting News ranks Clowney No. 5 overall in the country, two spots below Butler quarterback Christian LeMay. And Anson Senior’s Stephone Anthony, a linebacker, is No. 8. That’s three of the top eight players in the nation about an hour’s drive from each other.
