Explosive rusher Romar Morris makes commitment to Tar Heels

North Carolina has landed three-star running back Romar Morris of Salisbury, N.C., for the Class of 2011. He chose the Heels over Georgia Tech. Clemson, South Carolina and Tennessee were among his final five. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound standout was also offered by North Carolina State, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Arkansas, Utah, East Carolina and Maryland. A national track athlete, Morris had a huge day at the Nike Charlotte Combine posting an electronically-timed 4.32 40-yard dash.
