The NCAA posse frowns upon the academic fraud and improper agent interaction issues arising in Chapel Hill, and such knowledge could well give recruits pause. Which is where the Hokies and Cavaliers enter the fray. The Tar Heels have accepted commitments from 17 prospects in the 2011 class, several at the expense of Virginia and/or Virginia Tech. That list includes Phoebus defensive end Daquan Romero, whose other finalists were Virginia and West Virginia.
