Austin Rivers named co-MVP at ESPN all-star event


Austin Rivers was named co-MVP in an ESPN all-star contest Saturday night. Rivers had 15 points, four rebounds and four assists for team Marques Johnson, which lost to team Raymond Lewis 127-126 in California.Rivers (6-4/189), who led Winter Park past Dr. Phillips for the Class 6A state championship last season, is ranked the top senior in the country by Rivals.com. He plans to take recruiting visits to Duke and North Carolina in October, and he also is considering Florida and Kansas. (Orlando Sentinel)
