T.J. Yates holds on to Tar Heels' starting spot

North Carolina quarterback T.J. Yates estimates he threw in the neighborhood of 500 passes during the preseason. As of Monday, he had only thrown one interception. And, as he’s quick to point out, it came on a tipped ball. But that’s not to say he’s ducking responsibility for the pick. “It’s always my fault,” said the oft-criticized quarterback.
