Cleared pair big for UNC


That whirling, whooshing sound that emanated from a nook of Atlanta and all parts of Chapel Hill at around 8:40 p.m. Friday night was a collective sigh of relief that rendered more wind damage than Hurricane Earl laid on the state’s Outer Banks earlier in the day. It was reaction to the NCAA clearing UNC linebackers and for tonight’s season opener against No. 21 LSU at the Georgia Dome. (Fox Sports Carolinas)
