Heels' comeback bid falls short

Saturday, in the Chick-fil-A kickoff game against LSU, it was T.J. Yates who almost led the Tar Heels to an improbable upset despite missing 13 players because of ongoing investigations into agents and academics. After falling behind by 20 points at halftime, Yates rallied the Tar Heels in the fourth quarter, but two passes bounced out of tight end Zack Pianalto’s hands in the end zone as LSU won 30-24.
