Tar Heels stave off Tigers
Posted Feb 11, 2008
Danny Green's two 3-pointers gave UNC hope Sunday by cutting a deficit that reached 15 points in the second half. Quentin Thomas' tying layup in regulation and free throws in overtime gave the Tar Heels a chance. Tyler Hansbrough's play in the second overtime finally sparked a 103-93 win that improved North Carolina to 53-0 against Clemson in Chapel Hill -- the longest homecourt winning streak in any series in NCAA history.
