Troubling for Tech is the play of quarterback T.J. Yates and wide receiver Jheranie Boyd, who totaled 221 yards and a touchdown in the 30-24 loss to LSU. Yates passed for more than 400 yards against the Tigers, and must be pleased seeing the time that Kansas quarterback Jordan Webb and S.C. State Malcolm Long had to survey the field in their games against the Yellow Jackets.
