Who will join recent winners Terrelle Pryor, Garrett Gilbert and Dillon Baxter as the MaxPreps National Player of the Year? While it's still mid-September, contenders are beginning to emerge. Marquise Williams, QB, Mallard Creek (Charlotte, N.C.): Williams and the Mavericks were off last week after outscoring their first three opponents 161-6. Williams led the offensive onslaught by throwing for 760 yards and 17 touchdown passes while rushing for nearly 300 more.
