North Carolina's season reaches a critical stage Saturday. If the Tar Heels lose at Rutgers, it would seem that at 0-3, the entire program under Butch Davis could unravel. Some fans will accept off-the-field problems if a coach is winning. But a coach whose program has NCAA and academic woes and is losing doesn't have much appeal to anybody. (Charlotte Observer)
