Defensive Stand
Posted Sep 25, 2010
After giving up 30 points in each of the first two games of the season, UNC’s defense needed to take a stand. By limiting Rutgers to just 13 points and 244 yard of total offense, the young unit did just that. “Basically, it was a ‘must win’ thing for us,” defensive end Quinton Coples (nine tackles, three sacks, four tackles-for-loss) said. “We’ve been in a lot of close games, but overall we knew we had to get this win.”
