What worked: The defensive line isn't the same without Robert Quinn and Marvin Austin but it made the plays that mattered in the second half against Rutgers. Quinton Coples, who had nine tackles and three sacks, was effective at both end and tackle. DT Tydreke Powell, who had seven tackles, made two key plays on Rutgers' final drive. Overall, UNC finished with five sacks and held Rutgers to just 2.4 yards per carry.
