Lucas: Passion And Privilege

Kids can smell the Duke game. I'm convinced of it. Like dogs sniffing out fear, they know when the Blue Devils are in town. My daughter McKay is four years old and not much of a basketball fan, although she does like going to the games to watch the cheerleaders (no, she didn't get that from her dad). She has a vague idea of who Tyler Hansbrough is, and she understands that Coach Williams is somehow in charge of the team. "Sort of like the daddy," as she put it one time.
