As a boy, Matt Merletti liked to tag along with his father on job days. He met presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, visited the White House’s Oval Office and sat behind the President’s desk. He met players on Super Bowl championship teams that visited the White House. Such are the perks when your father, Lew Merletti, is the director of the U.S. Secret Service. (Winston-Salem Journal)
