UNC lands late-blooming defensive end Tyler Alberts
Posted Oct 6, 2010
Tyler Alberts never saw himself as a big-time football prospect until recently. In fact, Alberts wasn't even playing football until this season at Forsyth County Day School in Lewisville. But what Alberts has achieved so far this season was impressive enough for North Carolina to offer him a scholarship. Alberts accepted Monday, making him the 18th member of the Tar Heel recruiting Class of 2011.
