It’s already clear that Butch Davis, the big-name coach with the strong pro background, has, whether by design or happenstance, navigated the Tar Heels onto unfamiliar, unwelcome, damaging shoals. Whether or not the bottom falls out, the ship is listing badly. This all comes at a time when UNC is pouring money into an amplified vision of football grandeur. (ACC Sports Journal)
