Of all the hellos the Knicks have said this preseason in familiarizing themselves with one another, one of the most important new relationships on the team originated nearly a decade ago. As high school players, forward Amar’e Stoudemire and point guard Raymond Felton occasionally crossed A.A.U. and summer-camp paths, sometimes playing together. They now have the chance to perform full time as teammates.
