Status of Tar Heels' Burney goes back into limbo

Kendric Burney was hit with a six-game suspension on Sept. 22 for NCAA violations of agent benefits and preferential treatment rules. And UNC played its sixth game of the season Saturday night at Virginia, thus his final one to sit out under the original suspension. But Burney’s status has shifted into limbo due to an unresolved issue, making his availability for next weekend’s game at Miami undetermined.
