UNC broke a modern tradition last weekend, winning at Charlottesville for the first time since 1981. That ended a run of 14 straight Wahoo wins at home in a series played annually without interruption since World War I. A key to victory, and an ongoing source of unexpected stability in a season of turmoil at UNC, was the play of T.J. Yates, the Tar Heels’ much-maligned quarterback.
