Aug. 26: UNC announces that the NCAA investigation into possible improper conduct with agents may have uncovered potential academic fraud as well. The "second prong" of the probe involves a tutor who also has worked with UNC coach Butch Davis' son. Sept. 1: Davis benches Marvin Austin indefinitely from the team for violating team rules unassociated with the probe. (Charlotte Observer)
