Speculation rampant in Adjehi Baru recruitment

Virginia Tech remains in contention for 6-foot-9 men’s basketball prospect Adjehi Baru from Richmond but the latest buzz is that Maryland is in the lead for Baru, a native of the Ivory Coast. Earlier this month, Baru narrowed his choices to Maryland, Tech, North Carolina and Coastal Carolina. He has taken official visits to Tech and Maryland over the past two weekends after coach Bobby Cremins was able to get him to Charleston in late September. The Terrapin Times on-line site notes that there has been a flirtation between Baru and Kentucky and speculates that North Carolina has to be viewed as the team beat. Maryland.
