Johnny White works to reach 1,000 yards for UNC
Posted Nov 5, 2010
UNC has not had a 1,000-yard rusher since 1997 when Jonathan Lipton ran for 1,004, but that drought could end this season thanks former wide receiver and defensive back, Johnny White. The senior has emerged at UNC's top tailback this year, and through eight games he has 123 carries for 713 yards. He also has six touchdowns and is averaging 5.8 yards per carry. But White said earlier this week he's not thinking about the 1,000-yard mark.
